The Rest of December 2010

1-2) Aurora looking so cute, as she sleeps.  3-4) Riana and Sariah's good friend, Aimee, spent the night.  The next morning, this is what I awoke to.  (Grant was working.)  The girls' were making breakfast!  We will definitely be having her spend the night more often!  ;)  (We love Aimee!!)

The Apple Cup happened to fall on my Dad's birthday this year.  So we had a little party (Grant, the girls, and I and my Dad, brothers Dan, Tom, and Joe, and Joe's friend, Sebastian.)  We watched the Huskies win, while we ate my Dad's favorite treats!  It was a lot of fun!  And he loved his cards!  Tia made the cutest card and the card we bought sang the song from Star Wars.
 1) Tierra, Karina, and Aurora playing pretend in the backyard.  2) Sariah won her dance raffle for turning in her practice charts for November.  3-4) A little twisted- guess who insisted on dressing herself??  :)

Grant received a new car for work (and traded in his old car, the dark blue one.)  The girls enjoyed hanging out/playing in the trunk of the new car, while we transferred everything over to the new car.  It was good because it kept them busy and safe.  I also took a picture of Grant in his old "office" before we gave it away.

 1) We had the pleasure of celebrating the upcoming birth of my sister-in-law, Mandy's, baby girl, while out to breakfast.  It was a nice, relaxing morning.  I enjoy visiting with her family, and mine.  :)  (Pictured- L to R- Mandy, her Mom's friend, me-Angela, my Mom-Karla, my other sister-in-law-Jolie, Mandy's sister-Becky, Mandy's Mom-Donna, and Mandy's sister-Debbie.)  My sisters weren't able to make it (Celestia was waiting for her husband to fly in and Liz lives in Oregon.)
2-3) I purchased candy advent calendars for the girls this year.  I bought two and then decided I wanted to get each of them one.  They really looked forward to it each day.  Fun!

1-2) Presenting the charming Aurora!  3) One of these things is not like the other!  LOL!  This picture makes me laugh!  With 5 little girls (one being 2 years old), we break lots of vertical blinds.  Well, we didn't have any nice ones left but we found this crinkled one, so Grant put it up.  Everytime I saw it, it made me laugh.  We have replaced now though.  4)  Dancing Cousins- My brother, Chris, and his wife, Mandy, have 4 kids in the same dance studio that we go to.  Between our 4 and their 4, with 2 more each on the way, I think we will single-handedly keep Michelle in business!  LOL!  They have a lot of fun together.  I love how the little girls are all posed and the oldest girls are looking beautiful and then there are the silly middle ones!  Can you tell that Sariah and Seth are related??  ;)  5-7) Our dancing girlies!  Aurora wouldn't be in the picture without me.  (Aurora doesn't actually dance yet.  She does at home and even sings the songs, "Let's get loud, let's get loud!" and "Broke my bat on Johnny's head, somebody 'titched on me...I'm ge'in' nuttin' for Christmas.  Mommy and Daddy are mad..."  However, our family rule is that she has to be potty-trained.  Anyway, Michelle gave her her daughter's old shirt.)
Even though it was late... and cold... and foggy... Grant took the girls out to enjoy the eclipse.  They weren't able to see the entire thing because it became too cloudy and the moon could no longer be seen.  But they really enjoyed it for the time that it lasted.

1) I love this picture, not only because she looks cute when she sleeps, but also because this is how I sleep sometimes (with my hands like that.)  2) Tierra is so sweet with Aurora-- she is a really good big sister!  They have been snuggling together a lot lately.  It is adorable!  3) Silly Aurora put this orange in her mouth, told me to take a picture, and then asked to look at it.  Then she said, "Silly Rora!"  I agree, Silly Rora!

1) On Christmas, we made donuts with a mix that Brian and Shannon brought.  We discovered as we went along the better way to do it-- the smaller and thinner the better.  Then we added chocolate frosting.  They were yummy!  2) We were able to go visit Grant's Grandparents (his Mom's parents.)  It was nice to have a chance to visit with them.  3) Tia decorated this cookie!  Yum!  :)

The girls were excited to get a letter/present in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa (from Spokane.)  They liked the card and inside were little cards for each of them, with gift cards inside.  They were excited to see the pictures on theirs, which were chosen especially for them.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!!

Aurora received some new jammies for Christmas and I am totally in love with them-- Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake!  So cute!!  So funny that I happened to get her in the same chair for both of them.  I didn't do that on purpose.  In fact, the last two pictures are actually from January.  I guess she is easier to capture when she is sitting still already.  Cutie pie!  (Oh yeah, did I mention I'm totally in love with her too?)  ;)
Lastly, Grant had the opportunity to go skiing with his brother, Brian.  They had a lot of fun!!  :)
