Pedicures on my Due Date- Jan. 5th

What a better way to spend your due date, then to go get pampered! I highly recommend it! My friend, Jen, and I took our older girls to get pedicures. My girls were so excited and dressed up all pretty for the occasion. (Karina chose to stay at home with Daddy and Aurora, and chose to play "MarioKart" with him. But told me when we got home that she thinks she wants to try it next time.) All three of my girls that went loved getting pampered! (It was a little tricky getting pictures while our feet were soaking.) I had planned to just get Tia's toenails painted but due to a little miscommunication (it was pretty much impossible to understand the lady), she ended up getting a full pedicure and then also getting her nails painted (but that's okay because Tia loved it! It was worth it for her to get a little extra love!) Riana, Sariah, and friends, Savannah and Autumn, all received pedicures. It was fun to watch them squirm when it tickled so much they could hardly stand it! LOL! Even though my normal pick would've been blue, I wanted a pink color since I was about to give birth to a little girl. Jen helped me go for a little bit bolder of a color then I was going to pick (I don't the color I picked would've really shown up.) It was super cute! It was fun spending time with our girls, and each other, and it was super nice to have cute toes for my delivery! :) PS- I have to say that the massage chair, I was sitting in, was my favorite part! My lower back had really been hurting and it felt so good!!!

Our homeschool program!!

My style of homeschooling is "public school at home." We began homeschooling on our own, the 1st year. Then we were enrolled in the Washington Virtual Academy (WAVA) for 3 years. Now we are enrolled in ORLA. Our girls are taking several classes at an Elementary School that is no longer used for a typical Elementary School. Instead 450 homeschooling students (K-12) take classes there with certified teachers (you choose which ones and how many) but you do have to be at the school with them until they are 12 (in another room with toys for the younger kids) or sign them out to a friend. Then you fill in the rest at home. For example, my girls take Music, Art, P.E., and Science at the school 2 days a week and then I teach them Math, Language, and History at home, on the other 3 days. The school also pays for an additional $300 a year of curriculum (like the Math, Lang, Hist.) We do have to keep up with a certain number of hours per week. We also have a "home room teacher" that helps us with everything, like deciding what extra things to do at home and making sure we don't miss anything. We are really enjoying this program-- it truly is the best of both worlds! If you have any questions, email me. :)
