Meeting All Her Big Sisters

Calyssa is one lucky girl to have 5 big sisters!  It is like having 6 Mommies!  :)  She is a very loved baby!

Our girls spent the week at Grandma and Grandpa's house- my parents.  (They usually spend just a day or two but this time Rori and Nina stayed for 3 days and the older girls begged to stay for 5 days.) Normally, the girls come to the hospital to meet their new sister, however, since our room was tiny and it was snowy outside, we told my Mom to just wait until we came home.  Plus, we came home the day after she was born and so the girls, and Grandma, were able to meet Calyssa when she was only a day old.  (It was SO much nicer to have them meet her at home! And more relaxed! I don't know why we've never done that in the past.  It was nice that they could just do their own thing and didn't have to worry about being too loud.)

The girls were so excited, and maybe a little nervous, to meet their newest baby sister.  They loved holding her.  It was super cute!  They all gave her a little balloon.  And Daddy bought Mommy 2 dozen pink, baby roses!  (To go along with my half-a-dozen real pink baby roses.)  ;)  It was so sweet!  Riana made signs to announce Calyssa's birth.  What a nice oldest sister!  Calyssa gave each of her sisters a little treat as well, including a baby bottle.  They thought it was great, especially Aurora.  It kept her busy and distracted.  She loved her special present.  Grandma even got a chance to hold baby Calyssa!  The girls left some little friends to watch over Calyssa while they were gone.  (So sweet... but I moved them just to be safe.)  It was a great visit with all of our girls.

She is SO cute! I bet the girls are in heaven helping and playing, cuddling and hugging. I am sure Calyssa doesn't get much alone time (I know, at least, that is what would happen at my house!) Congratulations. I hope you are recovering. Enjoy your half dozen real baby roses!!!
