So I was standing there and Grant walked in the room. He was so good looking that I just fainted right then and there. After over 10 years of marriage, he still makes me weak in the knees.
Okay, okay, maybe that isn't really how it happened. Here's the real story...
I was really sick with the flu (and also losing fluids through feeding my baby.) Grant had just arrived home from getting me some Gatorade from the store. According to him, when he walked in the room, I stood up and took two steps, then fell on my bum, and then back onto my back/head, all with my eyes wide open. He said that I looked a bit drunk, or like one of the three stooges, in my stumbling. Interesting. He was pretty worried about me. All I remember is sitting there, my vision going a bit black, and feeling heat in my ears. Then I thought I was kneeling with my head down on the ground and all of a sudden I was lying on my back with Grant asking if I was okay. It was a bit scary-- the first time I have ever really passed out. I have to say, I really don't enjoy the feeling of skipping time. (I was knocked out in soccer once, when I was about 15 or so. I was standing on the 18, trying to stop a goal kick, with my head, but that is it.) Needless to say, that happened Thursday morning, and in the last 3 days since, I have dranken over 300 ounces of Gatorade. Thankfully, I am finally feeling better.

That is so scary!!! I'm glad you're ok now and drinking lots...keep it up.
I hope you're better! I am still recovering...had a blessing tonight from our home teachers. I have coughed so much (cough medicine has not helped at all) that all my muscles surrounding my ribs are inflamed. I'm wondering if I can really push a baby out when I can't even get out of a chair! Pray for me!
And no more fainting!
Yikes.
I have this big fear of slipping on the ice. It's completely reasonable...I've fallen more times on the ice than anyone ever should. Today I made Elijah walk me to the car after church. He helped give me the confidence to get there. If he weren't there, I may still be at the Church waiting for things to melt down. Having said that...Fainting would be way worse. I'm so glad you are okay. I'm sure Grant won't mind if you keep telling the first story. :oD
Scary! Yeah, definitely don't repeat that again..good ol' Gatorade :) Hope you're feeling better and relaxed!
I think that would be such a weird feeling. I have never fainted. I hope you are feeling back to your old self in time for basketball tomorrow! =)
Glad you didn't get hurt to bad.
In french when you faint, they say, "J'ai tomber dans les pommes" = I fell in the apples. weird huh?
Hopefully you're over the flu.
Goodness Angela, obviously your body is saying "take it easy you hard working mother you...." I am glad that you are feeling better though. I had a weird blackout when I was prego with Montey. It was the weirdest feeling in the world. One I hope to never repeat, also.
glad you are feeling better! Those moments can be scarry thankgoodness for a husband to help take care of you.
