Drama Camp- August 2012

Every summer since we moved here, I have wanted the girls to participate in a local drama camp, which usually happens the second week of August.  We have always been gone or something important was already scheduled during the performances.  Finally, this year, they were able to participate.  They normally have ages 8 and up, however make a few exceptions based on behavior/responsibility on the part of the younger child.  So I enrolled the 4 older girls.  The play called, “The Attack of the Killer Space Smoothie,” was written by one of the directors’ daughters.  It was a Star Trek/Star Wars type of show.  The crew traveled around landing in different time periods.  Tierra and Karina were chosen for the part of cave-men/women.  And let me tell you, they were the cutest cave-men/women I have ever seen.  J  They also did a little appearance as “4th graders” in a class.  Sariah was chosen as a peasant girl and had a few lines.  She did such a great job!!  I especially enjoyed her line, “ ‘ello!  What you be doing?  Your clothes be powerful strange.”  The look on her face was great!!  Riana was chosen as the ship’s Doctor.  And she did great too!  The only bummer was that someone skipped a line in the play, which caused a chain reaction of skipping that ended up skipping like a page of the script, the one which happened to have about half of her lines on it… so sad!!  Oh well, good thing she had the most lines of all our girls.  Their friends Cayden (who I didn't get a picture of on stage- he was a knight) and Autumn were also in the play, which made it even funner!  Aurora, Calyssa, Grant, and I had a great time attending their performance (Aurora's two best friends- Brynn and Megan were there too.)  I’m glad they could finally participate in it.  It was a good experience for them.

(I was videotaping with my nice camera and therefore didn’t get very good pictures because of my seat and because I was using my phone.  I was so incredibly thankful for my friend, Jen, for sharing her awesome pictures of my girls.)
