1) Poor Callie got a horrible sunburn, even though I put
sunscreen on her twice! Well, I guess
she got her vitamin D for the day, which she desperately needs with her
deficiency.
2-3) My friend, Julina, planned a girls’ night out at Puerto
Vallarta and I’m so glad I went. We had
a great time. (Jen, me, Julina’s friend,
Nicole, Korey, Julina, Laurel, and Jessica)
Afterwards, we went over to Julina’s house to just hang out. I had to check on my kids, so by the time I
got there, all the seats were taken. Jen
and Julina told me to just come sit with them, so I did. Then someone took this picture (can’t remember
who)… I love these ladies and absolutely
love this picture of us!! It seriously
makes me smile!! J4) Nina really wanted to make me dinner. I said okay. She worked really hard on this PB&J and was so excited to give it to me. I have to say that it was the best PB&J I have ever had because it was made with love. J
5-6) I so love holding my sleeping babies in my arms… it is
definitely one of my favorite things ever!
Callie hardly ever falls asleep in my arms, but when she does, I
definitely treasure every moment of it!
7) I thought this picture of the girls at a birthday party was
cute. I love the stair steps of kids.
8) Tia found a real 4-leaf clover!! Wow!
Pretty awesome, Tia!! You must be
lucky!! J
9) Sariah was doing the dishes and got creative… she made this
really huge bubble!! It was pretty
impressive!
10-11) Grant loves taking the girls out to Happy Teriyaki in Tacoma. He uses this restaurant frequently for lunches for work and they love him because he spends a lot. Last time we went there, they gave him a free plate of whatever sushi he wanted and they gave the girls handfuls of candy! The girls loved that, of course!! And asked to go back! Happy Teriyaki is also always asking Grant to bring his family back in. This time, they gave the girls balloons twisted into different things—teddy bears and doggies… and even a flower for me and a sword for Grant to guard all those pretty girls. We had a fun evening!
12) We had some really colorful Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner. I love rainbows and decided to switch the
plates around to look beautiful!! J
13-15) Every Friday night in the summer, that we were free, we got
together with our friends to play some family soccer: Grant and I and our
girls, Jason and Jen and their kids, Doug and his boys, Brady and Tracy and
their girls, and sometimes a few other friends (Klaus, Janiel, Matt M, David C,
Aimee, Brooke, etc.) We always have fun
playing together. I especially love
going against Savannah (or taking the ball away from one of the guys) because
she is so good that it is fun to have a challenge. While we play, the little kids entertain
themselves. I usually try to bring lots
of toys and a playpen to contain them. Fun times!! :)
16-18) Calyssa fell asleep after a long day at the pool. She still had her bathing suit and her sunglasses on. It was so adorable!!
19-21) Just me and my little cutie!! I am so in love with her!! She is stinkin’ adorable!! J
22-29) We went to the park with our friends, Tricia and her daughters Lilly and Alayna. We ate some lunch, played on the toys, and even went on a walk down to the river and played in it a bit. The park provided lifejackets, which made it nice so we didn’t have to worry about anyone. Sariah especially enjoyed catching a few little creatures, out of the river, and then letting them go. The girls noticed that Riana and Calyssa were wearing twin outfits that day… so cute! And totally unplanned!! It was a fun afternoon.
30) I took Karina and Calyssa on a combined date to get their pictures taken at JCPenney. Calyssa was not very happy to be getting her picture taken, however Rebecca (our favorite photographer, who has been taking our pictures for years) still managed to get some really cute ones! Afterwards, we grabbed a bite to eat at McDonalds.
31) Here is a picture of our beautiful lilies that grow once a
year, usually in the late spring or early summer. This year they took a while to grow because
it took forever to get warm. We had an
unusually cold and rainy June and July.
August (and September) were completely perfect though!!!
32) The girls loved this “pumpkin” grape that we found in our
green grapes. They thought it looked so
cool! Nice, big, plump, firm, juicy
green grapes are one of my favorite foods on the entire planet!! Love them!!
33) Riana loves “Hunger Games” the movie/books. She especially loves the main character,
Katniss, and her role as the hero in the story.
She has been shooting arrows with her friend, Cayden. She even made this mockingjay symbol out of
clay.
34) As the High Councilor over seminary, Grant had to bring
desserts. He bought these cookies… well,
actually the church did. Even though
there was a lot of cookies, I didn’t think he would have any left afterwards,
since teenage boys will eat as many as you give them right? Well, surprisingly, he did have some
left. We actually had to share the
remains with other people there, and the missionaries, and our girls.35) The girls were in love with this dinosaur egg oatmeal. When you pour hot water on the eggs, little dinosaurs pop out... fun stuff!
36) When Grant bought me my new phone, I asked what I should take my first picture of... and he did his "Soap Opera" pose for me, so I snapped a picture... LOL!! Silly guy!! :)
37) We have been buying coconut milk for Callie, since she is allergic to cow's milk. Well, one day, Grant brought home some frozen pineapple and I got an idea... it did not disappoint!! Coconut milk+Frozen pineapple= yumminess!!
38) The cutest picture ever!!! I love this picture of Callie and Grant.... so adorable!!! I have it as the background on my phone.
39-41) Just some fun pictures of the girls in their black/blue and white dresses. Cute!
