My sister, Liz, and her children came to visit for a couple of weeks. Her husband, Mark, unforunately had to work.
One day, we all went swimming at Chris and Mandy's neighborhood swimming pool. Liz and her kids, Chris's kids, my kids, Celestia and her kids, and Grandpa and Grandma all went swimming. The best part about it was that it was free. They all had so much fun!!
Another day, we went swimming at a local pool. (It was pretty hot outside that week!) We had a membership this summer, so it was free for us, and we were able to get discounted passes for everyone. Liz and her kids came and Celestia and her kids came. Even though it cost a bit, it was fun because the little kids were able to play on their own in the baby pool... they loved that! And the older kids were able to jump off the diving board... and they loved that! :) Tia was teaching swimming lessons to Nina and Rachie, in this picture... so cute!!Another day, we had a putluck dinner at our parents' house. We always enjoy being together. The cousins especially love being together. We are blessed to have each other.
Later, we attended Nathanael's ordination to the priesthood. He turned 12 and was able to get the priesthood. It was really neat to be there for our nephew, especially since we don't have a son.
One night, Liz's girls came over to our house for a sleepover. Every night is a big girl party at our house and I think Kate and Rachel loved hanging out with our girls. We're glad they could come.
The second week that Liz was here, she went to the ocean with my parents. The girls and I joined them for a day. We spend some time on the beach: some of us (the crazy ones) played in the water (pretending to be mermaids), others played in the sand (writing love messages), and others just visited. Afterwards, we went over to the RV Resort to swim in the pool. The kids especially loved the waterslide. Even the ones who weren't as strong of swimmers were able to go down because they had lifejackets. They were happy to go swimming in a warm pool after the freezing cold ocean and I was happy because it washed off more of the sand, so I didn't have to bring it home-- win/win situation. :) We had a fun day!!
