At the beginning of May, the first spring dance performance was at the park, and Tierra and Karina's dance classes were both dancing. Tierra was chosen to be the jewel thief in the "Mission Impossible/Pink Panther Spy Medley." I think she was the smilest thief of all time! ;) They also danced to an older song, "Candy for Breakfast," in which they performed with canes. They did a great job! Karina performed, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," which turned out very cute! Karina danced so confidently and was a real leader in her class this year. Something just clicked for her this year and she really started getting it. Her moves were exactly on the beat. It was fun to watch. Her other song was "Trouble" by the Chipmunks. Her class looks so adorable in their "bad" costumes! They had so much fun with the moves of that song, especially during the "rap" part. It was way too cute! Riana, Sariah, and Kaatlin enjoyed practicing their dancing during one of the songs they knew. And Aurora enjoyed playing on the old firetrucks.
After the dance performances, the girls had the opportunity to march in Fun Fair parade, with the other kids from there dance studio. They loved being in the parade!
Later, Tierra, Karina, and Aurora went on some bouncy houses and slides. They had so much fun that they never wanted to leave, however after being there for an hour or two, I was done. On the way out to the car, we ran into our friend, Lucrecia. She was working with her clients. She took them to the Fun Fair. So we all danced together, while we watched some country line dancers. Then we went home. It was a fun day!
Dance pictures were at the end of May. The girls looked so cute all dressed up for pictures.
1) Aurora was using the door handle as a ballet bar, so I snapped a picture when she wasn't looking. That girl is just so naturally graceful!
2) Riana and Sariah's class getting ready for pictures.
3) My girls with my friend, Tricia's girls (Alayna and Lily)
4) All my beautiful girls
5) The posing picture, which Calyssa wanted nothing to do with.
6-9) We soon learned why... she just wanted me to take pictures of her by herself! She totally started posing on her own. It was so cute!! :)
