Grant and Sariah's Birthdays

Grant and Sariah's birthday were a bit intertwined this year.

You'll never guess what Grant requested for his birthday breakfast... a smoothie!!!  LOL!!  After breakfast, unforunately he had to head off to work.

For dinner, we did a switch-eroo!  After Tierra's soccer game, in which she scored 3 goals in honor of her Dad's birthday, we headed off to Chinese Buffett-- Sariah's choice.  She made sure and had some Miso Soup, which is her favorite (and all her sisters' favorite too.)

Sariah being silly!!... If you wonder where she gets it, see the last post... LOL!  ;)
Sariah's choice for breakfast was way too yummy-- waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and chocolate and powered donuts.  (She wanted mini but I couldn't find any at the store I went to.)  She also requested orange peach mango juice.

For lunch, she wanted a potato bar, which turned out super yummy and was a nice change from the ordinary.  She liked it so much, she had have of hers eaten before I snapped a picture.  Someone else really liked theirs too... or maybe just the sour cream!!  ;)

We spent the afternoon at the pool, which was what Sariah really wanted to do.  Our kids love to swim!!  They had a blast!

That night, we celebrated Grant's birthday by Grant and I playing soccer on our adult Co-Ed 30+ team, Blue Sky.   I even had an assist to our friend, Jason.  I chipped it over a defender or two and he made the shot.  I couldn't believe I actually got the ball to do what I wanted it to do... LOL!  The ironic thing about getting old is that you have the knowledge but you can't always get your body to do what it once did.  So it made me happy!!  (And it makes up for the assist he gave me a year or two, for my goal.)  Grant and I sure enjoy playing on a team with so many other couples/friends of ours-- Jen and Jason, Tracy and Brady, Klaus, Doug, etc.  Plus our many new friends we have made on that team.  Then we ate Costco pizza for dinner.

I made a layered chocolate dessert and we shared it with our friends down the street.  It was fun hanging out and celebrating Sariah's birthday.  The dessert was super good-- I can never get enough of that stuff!!
Riana snuck two trays of these to soccer practice to celebrate Grant and Sariah's birthday and she did it without Grant ever finding out.  He was shocked!!  Good job, Riana!!  :)
