I took a bunch of pictures at the girls' dress rehearsal. Sariah danced to, "Down," Riana danced to, "Just the Way You Are" and "Camouflage," and they both danced to, "IkoIko" and .................... Tierra, Karina, and Aurora's classes danced to the same songs they did earlier. (Karina's class may also have danced to "Who Let the Frogs Out" sometime during the year.) Calyssa found herself a really nice seat to watch the rehearsal. She sat there, quite contently. She was very entertained.
It was crazy how many looks we got walking to the car (downtown)-- 6 little girls in their dance costumes.
Grant's Aunt Janet, Uncle Mike, and cousin Missy happen to be in town from Southern California and were able to make it to the recital. Missy was so cute. She enjoyed it so much that she pretty much giggled through the whole recital. Before the recital this year, they had a slideshow full of pictures. It was a really nice addition. It was especially neat because she used a lot of the pictures I have taken and given her over the years. The girls all did a fantastic job. It was also fun to see our friends kids who were in the show (like Josie R, Katelyn O, etc.) Afterwards, the girls received ribbons. Aurora loved getting a ribbon!! Then we went and picked up Calyssa, who was being watched by our friends Jake and Andrea. (It took her a bit to warm up to them but then she had a great time. They said she had no problem holding her own and wouldn't let Hailey (who is about to get her first sibling) take her stuff. They said they could tell she is the youngest. LOL! And that she could come over any time, to help prepare Hailey to have a sibling.) Then the girls changed their clothes and (after Janet, Mike, Missy, and Riana got a bit lost in town) we all went out for ice cream. It was a fun evening.
