Wow! August was a busy month for us! (I still have one post, besides this one, to go. I took over 800 pictures during the month of August-- almost twice what I took any other month of the year, and about 4 times what I take in a normal month!) It was busy, but a lot of fun! 1) We went to see "Ramona and Beezus" with some friends, Autumn and Aimee. It was so much fun! What a cute movie!! I highly recommend it, especially if you have little girls! I told the girls I wanted to get a picture of them and they came up with this pose (the pyramid) all by themselves!! SO cute! 2) This was the picture we actually took first and the pose I came up with. Still cute... but not as cute as their pose! 3) Tierra took quite a spill on her bike- OUCH! 4) Back to brave it again, with helmets this time! (Actually I'm not sure if she had her helmet on, when she fell, because it was a posed picture, after she had already fallen.) Karina can go a few feet by herself! She wants to keep up with the older girls! Go Karina! (Notice all the cardboard boxes, Grant gets about 10-20 boxes a week, from his shipments for work.)
We went to the park with our cousins to celebrate the end of swimming lessons for the summer! We ate Subway and played together. Riana and Sariah had fun chilling with Nathanael and Seth. It was very cute! Stratton and Harrison catered to the little girls' (Tierra, Karina, and Laurel) fun by being their Knights in Shining Armor, getting their shoes when they needed them, while they were Princesses. (And they all climbed on the spider web together-- the 3 princesses at the top.) And Benjamin and Aurora had fun playing together too. (I think Kaatlin was at Girl's Camp.) It is sure fun to live near family! :) (We just wish all our family lived here! That would be even better!)
We had a lot of fun at the fair this year, which the girls all received free admission for dancing and I paid $1 plus a canned good. (Somehow Grant missed out on the fun again this year. If I remember correctly, he was sick and offered to keep a couple of kids home with him, but I thought they would enjoy the fair more.) 1-3) First, we rode the school bus from the bus parking lot to the fair, which is a lot funner than you realize for girls who don't ever get that chance. It even made us a little late, but they insisted! Cute! 4-5) Aurora was so adorable dancing along, on the side of the stage, in Sariah's hat! 6-7) Sariah and Tierra's summer class. Sariah also danced a solo, which made me cry! She was so brave to choose that, since no one showed up. Riana and Sariah danced "Fire Burnin," along with Riana dancing a few more songs with her class. Karina's class danced the next night, which we missed due to a play performance. 8-9) Next, we visited all the free parts of the fair, like the animals (though we steered clear of the horses, due to my allergy.) The girls really liked this cow named "Grandma." Then we picked up some cotton candy. After we gobbled that up, we took advantage of $1 ride day. 10) Riana and Sariah took a ride on the ferris wheel, with some friends from dance. 11) Karina, Tierra, and Aurora went on the Merry-Go-Round. 12-13) The "before" and "after" pictures for Aurora's first ride without Mommy. (Karina was on a different motorcycle.) "Before"- excited to go on the motorcycles and then "after" it started- not so sure anymore!! Scared! 14) Riana and Sariah on a ride together. 15) Aurora decided to go on another ride, this time with Karina. She was a little too brave and kept switching seats before the ride began, which made me extremely nervous. (She is so tiny that she just slipped right through the belt.) Luckily, they got her buckled tight, one last time, then finally started the ride, and she didn't move during the ride at all. (But I was very careful what I put her on after that, at this fair, Silverwood, and another fair, because of this experience.) 16) The 4 older girls went through the play house/fun house. Aurora wasn't old enough. (I ran into a friend of mine from Elementary School- Rachelle, her kids, and her sister, Stephanie. It was fun catching up with them.) 17) Tierra and Karina on the cars, 18) Dora/Karina looking cute! 19) Riana and Sariah loving their ride choice! 20) Leaving after a fun afternoon/evening at the fair.
1-2) Celebrating our wonderful news together, right after our ultrasound! 3) How can anyone be sad when they are greeted by these 5 gorgeous faces, at the door? What a beautiful sight! 4-7) Grandma helping the girls learn to sew (They were sewing the pillow cases that their Daddy picked out with them, but hadn't had the chance to sew. He was happy to have Grandma help them. And they loved it!) 8) A picture of our ultrasound picture, of the face of our beautiful daughter! 9) My first real pregnancy photo of this pregnancy, at the end of a long day. I look tired. 10) Karina and Aurora asleep. I love sleeping babies! So sweet!
1) Grant with some awesome strawberries, that he planted in our flower garden. Strawberries are his favorite!! 2) More sleeping babies- Aurora and Karina, 3) Our girls having a little picnic on the sidewalk, and doing a little dancing. 4) Some vibrant lilies in our flower garden, 5) Aurora LOVES buckles and insists on buckling any that aren't already buckled! 6-7) Ding-dong! Look what somebody left on my doorstep! My favorite- my beautiful little girls!! 8-9) Precious Moments- I caught Sariah reading "The Nutcracker" to Tia, and Riana reading one of our favorite books, "Squiggly Wiggly's Surprise," to Aurora, both without being asked (Karina had already fallen asleep)- I love moments like this! :) 10-11) Our girls putting on a show for us. They danced and sang to the songs from "Enchanted." Riana played Giselle, Sariah played a little girl who woke up in the middle of this dream, and Tierra and Karina were the little animals. Aurora didn't want to be in it, so she was in the audience with us. I love their little shows! (I remember putting on shows for my parents, with my sisters and brothers, and shows with my friend, Kim, for her parents, in her backyard.)
