End of the School Year

Pictures- 1-2) In their singing class, Sariah had a verse of a solo, on "The Garden Song" and Tia and Nina sang a duet on a verse of the same song.  (Riana, who is actually in the class as a teacher helper, has the opportunity to sing a solo on a verse of the same song, in the performance, as the girl who was supposed to sing it got sick and couldn't do it.)  3-4) We were all so excited to see Tierra's picture/collage hanging up in the office.  (It was 1 of only 3 that were chosen.) 5) Sariah made this map in her "This Land is My Land" class.  6) Pictures Tierra made in her "Westward Wagons" class.  7) Silly Rori!  Hilarious!  8) In Sariah's "This Land" class, they had a contest with who could find all 50 state license plates first.  We drove all over Lacey, searched many parking lots (at hotels, Walmarts, U-hauls, etc.) many times, and spent many hours just looking for license plates as a family.  Sariah found 49 license plates in about 3-4 weeks and was way ahead.  Sadly, it took us another 6 weeks to find "Connecticut" and so someone beat her by 1 week.  She was pretty bummed (but I was proud of her for staying honest and working so hard.)  She was still really excited when we finally found it!  9) The girls and their singing class performing for the opening of the new garden at our school, 10) Singing "Star Light, Star Bright," in singing class- they love this song because they close their eyes and 2-3 kids get a star behind their backs, and then they get to share a wish with the class.

More Pictures- 1-2) Riana in her cooking class.  She loved this class and learned a ton!  I was very suprised at how advanced it was.  And her teacher was awesome!  Riana is really going to miss her, as she won't be teaching there next year.  Major bummer!  3-8) Pictures from Skateland class (Karina got to participate for $1.50 per class.  She loved it!)  They learned lots of new skills and techniques and played lots of fun games (Red Light, Green Light; Hokey Pokey; 4 Corners; Races; and The Limbo- which is pictured below, including some pictures for my friend of her daughter.)  9-10) Pictures from our end of the school year party (which included games and lots of fun treats), 11-12) The car Riana and Sariah made for their "Road Rally" class.
