My Baby is 3!!

I can't believe my baby is already 3!!  Is it pretty typical to get worked up about your baby growing up?  Because I was seriously sad the night before she turned 3!  Here is the last picture of me snuggling with my 2 year old.
But then she turned 3, and everything was okay.  The world didn't come crashing down or anything.  It is what it is... and I know that all I can do is try to enjoy each and every day with each of my kids.

She had a very happy birthday, full of lots of spoiling.

Bottom Right Picture- "How old are you Callie?" ...well, not quite.  LOL!

It all started with Breakfast in Bed and a Happy Birthday song from her family.  For breakfast, she wanted vanilla yogurt and cereal... she made it easy to please her.

For lunch, she had kind of a different request.  She wanted Mac and Cheese, BUT she wanted to help make it.  She was so happy to get to help!!

Callie received a special birthday card in the mail from my Aunt Luetta.  How sweet of her to think of Calyssa!  It is amazing how much a simple card can mean to someone!

Then some of her sisters gave her some special gifts, most of which they made for her.  I love their drawings and sweet words to Callie, but I think her favorite parts were the pennies and the gum.  It was very sweet!
For dinner, she really wanted to have McDonalds.  What is it about McDonalds that kids love so much?  I don't know, but I don't think she has ever played on in the playplace so we went in and let her play.  She loved it!  And her sisters loved helping her through the play structure and down the slides.  They had a lot of fun together.

While we were out, we took her to the store and let her pick out her present.  Even before we went into the store, she announced that she wanted, "Ariel and Eric" for her birthday.  Even though her sisters tried to sway her with many tempting presents, all she wanted was Ariel and Eric.  (She did have a hard time deciding which Ariel and which Eric though.)  I was super impressed that she stuck to her goal.  She loves her Ariel and Eric barbies!!  That girl knows what she wants!
The next day, Riana made Polly Pocket Mermaid cupcakes for Callie.  Riana was really excited to make them for her and just asked me to buy some fruit roll-ups.  The cupcakes turned out so cute!!  Callie loved them!!  Riana even found some little fishy sprinkles that we had.  Adorable!  I was super impressed!

(It is so hard to get her to look at the camera and smile, right when I want her to.  I'm sure it is the age.  So I absolutely love this picture because I was actually able to capture it in the 2 seconds she looked and smiled.  Also, when I tell her to smile or say cheese, she normally smiles so big and she closes her eyes.  It is really cute... but I prefer her eyes open.  LOL!  What a cutie!!)

Grandma joined us for the party.  (Grandpa was sad that he couldn't make it because he was sick, especially because he and Callie have a special relationship.)

We also bought Calyssa her own little individual Ben and Jerry's that was just her size.  She loved it!

The girls insisted that Daddy eat the only cupcake with a boy Mermaid on it.  LOL!!

We loved spoiling our little Callie!  We all love her so much!  Hopefully she had a great birthday!!
