Matching Christmas Eve Pajamas- 2013

My favorite part of Christmas Eve each year is definitely seeing all our girls in their matching pajamas.

This year, for some reason, it was so hard to find pajamas for all of them. I thought I was going to go with one theme and thought it would be so easy. However, after looking and looking and looking... I had to give up and change my plan, with only a few days to go. I started looking online and was still having trouble finding reasonably priced matching pajamas for the girls. Grant ended up finding these ones, which were super cute, and all matching, at JCPenney, I believe. He ended up having to go to a few stores and we had to get a size 4/6 for Callie, but it all worked out. Thank goodness!! I love it when things work out in the end. :)

I forgot to change the setting on my camera, after I was taking pictures of the Christmas tree. So the pictures of the girls opening their pajamas turned out a bit blurry... but still cute!

After they all changed, we took a ~~few~~ bunch of pictures to find the winner for this year's picture.

My favorite comment came from our good friend, Celeste. She said, "Oh wow... they look like a dance team." LOL!! They kind of do. :) The funny thing is that the only reason why the girls wanted to kneel was because Sariah thought that her feet looked big last year. Silly girl! I didn't think so at all. I love her cute feet! But in the end, it turned out looking super cute to have them kneel.

I just love looking at these pictures through the years. And I know I will continue to love them for years. What a treasure! What a lucky mama I am! I love my 6 girls!! :)

3 Nephi 17:21-24

"21 And when (Jesus) had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them.

22 And when he had done this he wept again;

Our homeschool program!!

My style of homeschooling is "public school at home." We began homeschooling on our own, the 1st year. Then we were enrolled in the Washington Virtual Academy (WAVA) for 3 years. Now we are enrolled in ORLA. Our girls are taking several classes at an Elementary School that is no longer used for a typical Elementary School. Instead 450 homeschooling students (K-12) take classes there with certified teachers (you choose which ones and how many) but you do have to be at the school with them until they are 12 (in another room with toys for the younger kids) or sign them out to a friend. Then you fill in the rest at home. For example, my girls take Music, Art, P.E., and Science at the school 2 days a week and then I teach them Math, Language, and History at home, on the other 3 days. The school also pays for an additional $300 a year of curriculum (like the Math, Lang, Hist.) We do have to keep up with a certain number of hours per week. We also have a "home room teacher" that helps us with everything, like deciding what extra things to do at home and making sure we don't miss anything. We are really enjoying this program-- it truly is the best of both worlds! If you have any questions, email me. :)
