BEFORE
First, I found some princess pillows and matching canopy that my sister-in-law, Jill, had given us. We also had pink and purple bedding sets and some princess stickers. Next, we found a cute vintage dresser, that was a similar color to the girls bunkbeds. Then I found a really pretty pink and purple clock that I just had to get! Then I found some cute curtains on clearance and bought one set. Then found another matching set at another store and finally a third matching set at a different store. Good thing because we needed all 6 pieces! And it turned out looking very cute!
AFTER
Next, I found a sweet, pink sign at a vintage sale, where people sell things they have made. The sign said, "Sometimes being a sister is even better than being a princess." Perfect!!
Then some special lights-- 1) A princess castle alarm clock that lights up. It tells a story at "bedtime" each night and wakes them up with a princess song (and a dancing Cinderella and Prince) each night. 2) A pink and purple lava lamp, that the girls enjoyed watching for hours!! It is pretty cool!
Then we found a cute rug, a little polka dotted bean bag chair, and a little bucket to put books in for the reading corner.
We also decided to put the girls beds side by side, instead of the bunkbed, to have a new look and because they always want to sleep together anyway.
Jen suggested that we put their names on the wall above their beds, to add a personal touch. She found some sparkly pink frames and (after overcoming a few problems) I was able to use the same text that I used for the sign that I made, to print out their names. We put them up with their favorite princesses beside them.
And for the finishing touch, and my most favorite part!!, I looked through the pictures I had taken of temples and found one that I loved. It was of the Manti Temple, which my parents were married in. I went into PicMonkey and added text to say, "If this isn't your castle, then you're not my prince." I sent it to Costco to have a canvas wrap made (it cost about $70.) Anyway, it turned out awesome!! I love it!! And so did the girls... and my parents loved it too! :)
With the finishing touches all done, the room was complete! Time to surprise the girls!! They came in and giggled and giggled and giggled with excitement! "How do you like your new room?" More giggling!! They loved it!!
Two very happy girls! :)

So fun to relive the moment. The picture of the girls huddled around the clock was AMAZING!!!
Awesome - we
loved the pictures. It's hard to choose between pictures for our family wall. Maybe you can help me while were in Rexburg.
