We were excited to spend Christmas with Grant's family's this year. So on Christmas Eve, we headed over the mountains. We had a nice trip that was completely uneventful… just the way we
like it. Grant so thoughtfully bought me this Peppermint
Shake and it was so delicious!! YUM!
We arrived on Christmas Eve and we greeted by Grandma,
Grandpa, Phil, Michelle, and the boys.
We hung out together and set things up.
Grant’s parents were sweet enough to allow us to stay with them. Aaron and Shailee stayed there too. It was fun!
The girls set up a little fireplace, complete with stockings, and a
Christmas tree for their dolls to have Christmas. Then the kids enjoyed watching Santa Tracker
and getting excited!! Aaron and Shailee
and Grant and I stayed up super late to take care of a few things. It was fun hanging out with them. (I will post a separate post for Christmas
Eve PJs and one for Christmas Day.)
1- When we arrived, the girls set up a fireplace, complete
with stockings, and even made a tree for their American Dolls’ Christmas… very
creative!
2- And speaking of American Dolls, Sariah didn’t like the way
that her leg warmers looked, so she made her American Doll some matching
pajamas instead. I love how she even
made it modest.
3- Callie wanted to wear Grandpa’s boots and she looked so
stinking cute in them!! Oh how I love
this picture!!1-2- Silly Uncle Air-Guy wearing Karina's pretty hat and looking in Sariah's pretty mirror
3- Aurora trying to pull Phil’s hair… not an easy task. LOL!
1- I love the randomness of this picture… everybody just
doing their own thing. (Shailee is so thoughtful making sure Callie doesn't fall and hurt herself.)
2- Just a little brother wrestling
3- Our kids are so lucky… they have the best Aunts and
Uncles in the world! I love this
picture! I think it should be in the
dictionary under Aunt and Uncle. It is
such a great Aunt and Uncle picture!
They sure love Uncle Aaron and Auntie Shailee!! J
1-2- Kids watching Santa Tracker
3-4- Even though they were very tired, Aaron and Shailee were sweet enough to stay up and "get things ready" for Christmas with us. It was super fun hanging out with them.
Our triple date to see “Les Miserables”—Phil and Michelle, Aaron and Shailee, and Grant and I. It was so much fun hanging out together.
1- Calyssa loved Uncle Phil! She kept running over to him and hugging his legs. He would pick her up and she loved that! When it was time to leave, she gave him like 5 goodbye hugs! It was sweet!
1- Grandpa’s yummy homemade scones—so good!!
2- Grandpa showing something to Tierra and Sariah- cute!
3- Josh and Nina playing a game together
4- Grant eating some leftover pumpkin pie
5- Callie was upset about something and Josh rushed in to
cheer her up with the doggy. It was very
sweet!
The kids had so much fun with all the snow in
Spokane! They loved playing in the snow
with their cousins. It was a bit colder
than my girls were used to but they did have fun!Our triple date to see “Les Miserables”—Phil and Michelle, Aaron and Shailee, and Grant and I. It was so much fun hanging out together.
Grandma was very excited to show us Hobby Lobby! It is quite an amazing store! It gave me the decorating bug. I need to decorate my house!
1-2- Aurora and Aaron sword fighting in the store—not really a
fair fight… Aurora had 3 swords and Aaron only had a shield.
3- The kids were having a lot of fun… luckily they didn’t
break anything!
4- Connor and Aurora just hanging out—so cute!
5-6- After they were done playing in the store, they went out
and played in the parking lot. They had
a lot of fun climbing all over the snow pile.
When they were done, Tierra was having a hard time getting down and
started crying. I really didn’t want to climb
up there and get her. All she had to do
was take 3-4 steps and she would be down but she was tired and cold and was
just really upset. Joshua climbed up and
said, “Don’t worry Tia. I will help
you!” Oh my goodness! What a sweetheart! He is so aware of other people’s needs and
rushes in to help cheer them up, and I really appreciate that!
1- Calyssa loved Uncle Phil! She kept running over to him and hugging his legs. He would pick her up and she loved that! When it was time to leave, she gave him like 5 goodbye hugs! It was sweet!
2- And Aurora loved Auntie Michelle! Here she is hanging out with Auntie Michelle,
Connor, and Clover their dog.
3- Here is Aurora and Calyssa snuggling with Auntie
Michelle. I think she kinda loved
it! J
We always have so much fun with our family in Spokane and
this trip was no different!! We sure are
blessed to have great families!! J
