*Karina lost her very 1st tooth, only a few days after Tierra lost her 3rd tooth! So cute! Aurora keeps telling us, "I want the Tooth Fairy to come and take out my teeth too!" :)
*Sariah wrote me this message out of the dried strawberries in her lunch. So sweet!!
*Riana made parfaits in her cooking class at school. Yum!
*The young women in our ward came and cleaned our bathrooms and left these cute little boxes with hugs and kisses in them! I loved the clean bathrooms and our girls loved the little surprises.
*Karina and Aurora really wanted to help me make dinner, so I gave them butter knives and let them cut the olives. They love helping!
*Riana, Sariah, and Tierra also love helping. They enjoyed helping Daddy/Grant make some banana bread.
*The girls made some little creations out of clay-- some snowmen and a bird with some nests.
*I have been reading some photography books and have already learned a ton! Funny thing is, the book I have learned the most from, is my camera manual... imagine that?!? LOL!!
The girls and Grant weeded the flower gardens together! It was so wonderful!! It made me very happy! Our yard looks so much better now- it's amazing what taking out some weeds will do. Afterwards, the girls had a little picnic, in our front yard. Several neighbors commented on how cute they were. I have to admit they were pretty cute!!
These pictures are from Tierra and Karina's first game this year. It is the 1st time they are on the same team. Tierra has played for three years (just during Spring Season) and Karina has played for one year (Spring Season.) Because of her November birthday, Karina should actually be in U-5 this year but we bumped her up because she is ready and also because all her friends (cousin Laurel, and friends Hailey and Paige- also a friend from last year, Lindsey, who is Coach Jason's daughter, who was Nina's coach last year, as well) would've been on Tia's team anyway. Karina is having no problems holding her own. (Last year, during her first year, Karina scored at least two goals.) Where as Tierra has always been a little too sweet in the past, this year, she is coming into her own and becoming aggressive! It is fun to see her growth. (Both Tia and Nina have been going to practice with Grant's team {which Riana and Sariah are on} a lot and I think that has helped.) Tia scored her 1st goal ever in that first game and went on to score 2 more in the following game! Go Tia!! And Karina is playing really awesome too!! It is so nice to only have to go to two games each week and we don't have any overlapping.
We dogsat for Prince, for the last time, in April. Prince is our friends'- Cori, Earl, Madison, and Evan's- dog. (The other really good dog, Sally, that we used to watch also recently moved away to Florida with her owners- Evan, Eileen, and Titus.) He is such a good dog (and is totally kennel trained and has never had any accidents in the house either) but this time was actually kind of a challenge and it reminded me that we are definitely not ready for the responsibility of a dog any time soon. Right after getting over a tonsil abscess, I got sick with another tonsil abscess, then Grant got food poisoning, and a couple of the kids were sick with a nasty cough. Meanwhile, I was still taking the well kids to the places they needed to go and just sitting in the car. It was hard because Prince wasn't getting the attention that he needed and due to the season changing, he was shedding a lot. However, I am so glad we had this last opportunity to watch him. The girls were really sad to see him go. (Riana even cried.) Cori and Earl were sweet enough to bring us back some wonderful gifts, as always. This time they gave the girls a "Cinderella CTR" book that was very sweet. And also two boxes of "GooGoo Clusters." They were so yummy!! And Cori explained that GOO stands for Grand Ole' Opry because they used to only sell them there. (They are moving to Tennessee and had gone there to look for a house and everything.) Anyway, we will miss our friends and their dog.
