I have always wanted to see "The Nutcracker." In fact, I would like to make it a holiday tradition, with my girls. A friend of mine, in our homeschooling Co-op, gets really cheap tickets for a special school showing, up at the Pacific Northwest Ballet, so I decided to purchase 3 tickets, for my older two girls and I. When I looked online to get directions, I was shocked at how much people normally pay for those tickets. We had the best seats in the house, right in the middle of the orchestra. It was so awesome! I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, the girls or me! They wouldn't stop talking about it and a couple weeks later, it came on T.V. They danced right along with it: the benefit of watching it at home. :) It was very cute!

Oh I love the Nutcracker!!!!!!! We went for a few years in a row when I was still at home and I could never get tired of the beautiful music, props and dancing-I'm so glad you all had such a great time.
The first time I saw the Nutcracker was in the Seattle Center. The sets were drawn by Maurice Sendak (sp?) the same guy who did "Where the wild things are". We now try to see it every year at the Royal Opera House. Its a total classic.
