Last year, I found the cutest little costume on clearance for like $1!! It was Strawberry Shortcake and since Karina had just gone as Lemon Meringue, I thought it would be perfect for Callie and Rori to go as these two for Halloween the next year. It took a little bit of convincing on my part (especially since their sisters had their own ideas of what these two sisters should be) but Callie and Rori finally agreed. The costumes fit perfectly and they didn't even need wigs!! They looked super adorable!!
Their buddy, Brynnie, went as an ice cream cone. When Callie saw these pictures, she said, "That when was you told Brynnie that you were going to eat her up, Mommy!" I had told Brynnie that she looked so yummy... good enough to eat! Or something like that... apparently, it really affected Callie... LOL!
My favorite costume of the night was Naomi's... she went as Darla from "Finding Nemo." Her costume was so awesome!! She even drew the design for her shirt! She went around shaking her "fish" and saying, "Wake up, Fishy!!" or something like that. Jaycie and her little sister looked adorable too, in their ladybug costumes. :)
After much searching for the "perfect" costume (and not finding it), Riana went as a 50's girl, Sariah combined special pieces she found and loved to be a Fairy, Tierra went as a vampire (as did our friend, Autumn), and Karina as a witch, complete with a little black cat (that doubled as a flashlight.) It all turned out. :)
My Aunt Patty had a heart attack (while visiting her son, Randy, who happens to be a nurse with a lot of experience... he did CPR for several minutes until the paramedics got there and not only saved her life, but she is completely okay) and her children all came to be with her until she came out of the coma. Well, when Grant was visiting them, he let them know that they were welcome to come to our Trunk or Treat. So Ryan and Leah brought their kiddos (twin 7 year old girls, twin 5 year old boys, and 2 younger boys, who are like a year apart) and Stephanie (who has always been best cousins with my sister, Celestia) came too (her husband and kids were at home in Eastern WA.) It was so fun to hang out with them and then visit with them at our house after the Trunk or Treat, as well.

Calyssa came home with Grant and I after the Trunk or Treat... she got plenty of candy. We hung out with her 2nd cousins and my cousins. (I felt bad that it was just Callie but I promised my girls they could go with their friends before I knew my cousins were coming. It all turned out okay in the end though.)
Aurora, Karina, and Tierra went Trick or Treating around Jared and Michelle's loop and to 3 houses in our loop with Michelle, Vanessa, Naomi, Brooke, Hailey, Clara, and Caleb. Apparently, Aurora was really excited about going door to door Trick or Treating and not just Trunk or Treating because she was jumping up and down excited and saying, "I can't believe we are going to real houses!! This is my first time going to real houses!!" Last year, we went home after the Trunk or Treat and I'm sure she doesn't remember before then. After the loop, they came home and hung out with us too. They ended up with too much candy!
We allowed Riana and Sariah to go Trick or Treating with their friends-- Aimee, Autumn, and Melanie, all by themselves. They really enjoyed that freedom. They are good girls, so I didn't worry about them. After trick or treating, they went back to Autumn's for the annual candy swap. They came home with way too much candy!!
