Tierra's birthday just happened to be her first day of public school. She awoke to her sisters and parents singing to her and breakfast in bed, per tradition at our house. She was excited and nervous for us to take her to school to meet her new teacher and new friends. I wanted the day to be extra special, so we brought cupcakes for the whole class. She loved that... in fact, they all did! :) We had her special lunch the day before, which happened to be Easter Sunday.
That night, we had her special dinner and then went over to my parents' house to celebrate with cake and cousins. Her cousin, Harrison, has a birthday three days before hers which we also celebrated. Tierra was blessed to receive many nice gifts from everyone.

8 is a pretty special birthday! This last picture is of Tia's first day at Activity Day Girls, which she was excited to start (activities for girls 8-11, at our church.) She was even more excited to be baptized!! I will tell all about that in a later post.
