(On Saturday, my sisters, Celestia and Elizabeth, and Liz's best friend, Adrienne, came over for a bit, with their families. It was nice to visit with them. Also pictured above, buddies Kate and Rori having fun. And one of 14/19 of the cousins watching a movie.) On Sunday, March 6th, we had the joy of seeing not only our baby blessed, but her cousin, Ruth, as well. (My brother, Chris, and his wife, Mandy, had a baby girl about 3 weeks before we did.) We tried to plan a couple of events that weekend and a few more another weekend, so my sister, Liz, and her family wouldn't have to travel from Eastern Oregon too many times. (As it is, she came for the blessings, and then an unexpected funeral for Mark's aunt {we're so sorry for your loss!}, and will come again for our nephew's baptism and my brother, Joe's, Eagle Court, and then again for Joe's graduation, in June.) It was so sweet to see these two beautiful baby girls all dressed up pretty for their blessings. It was a treat to hear testimonies from a lot of my family members (including my girls) and just to sit with everyone during church.
Here are some pictures of Calyssa, Ruth, and Collin (who is Liz's baby, who was born about 3 months before the girls.) Also some sweet pictures of buddies, Laurel and Karina, with their baby sisters, Ruth and Calyssa, who I'm sure will be buddies too, very soon!! :)
After the two wards' Sacrament Meetings, we went over to my parent's house for dinner and visiting. I'm thankful that everyone could make it. (We didn't get a picture of everyone together, since a couple of us attended parts of three wards, but I did get pictures of everyone's individual families.) 1st- My sister, Liz, and her husband, Mark, and their 4 children, 2nd- my brother, Dan, and his wife, Jolie, and their son, 3rd- my sister, Celestia, and her boys (not pictured- her husband, Fatih), 4th and 5th- my brother, Chris, and his wife, Mandy, and their 6 children, and lastly, my Mom and Dad and two youngest brothers, Tom and Joe. And then, just a couple of Celestia's boys and my younger girls making a "cousin train"- so cute! And one of my Dad holding two of his grandbabies. It was a fun weekend!
