(About half of these pictures were taken by my sister, Liz, and the other half by me.)
We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family this year. We had all kinds of yummy foods! We started with appetizers like cheese ball
and crackers, stuffed celery, cocktail shrimp, yeggies, etc. Then we moved on to the main course of turkey
and ham, pistachio pudding salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, jello salad, and
more. My favorite two items are always
the homemade crescent rolls and the stuffing from inside the turkey—so
good!! J For dessert, we finished it off with lots of
pies, such as pumpkin pie, and apple pie, pecan pie, etc. My favorite this year was definitely Mandy’s
pumpkin cheesecake! It was
incredible!! Wow!! Everyone pitched in and helped out to make a
wonderful Thanksgiving meal! We had fun
visiting with everyone and the kids definitely loved playing with their
cousins… something they can never get enough of.
I have to say that my favorite part of Thanksgiving this
year was having my Mom there. We weren’t
sure if she would make it, until the last minute. She was in the Tri-Cities helping to take
care of her Mom and her Mom had some pretty bad days that week. She didn’t know if she could come but really
wanted to be there for Joe’s last Thanksgiving before his mission. It really made me appreciate having her there
more and I gave her a hug and let her know that I was happy she made it… which
made us both cry. I am so blessed to
have an amazing mother!
