Riana, Sariah, and Tierra had the opportunity to take a roller skating class, put on by their school. (They received instruction each class on how to improve their skating and even learned how to skate backwards. I must admit, I learned a few things too.) They also let you pay $1.50 for anyone else who wanted to skate. Karina skated almost every week, as well. (Sometimes she was given skates where the wheels didn't even turn but she loved just being out there with the big kids!) I even skated once or twice, when I had someone to watch Aurora. (When Aurora was there, she found ways to entertain herself like playing on my IPOD or playing Peek-A-Boo with babies.) The girls had a lot of fun and it was especially neat to watch their improvement from week to week. They enjoyed learning "The Hokey Pokey" too. Well, everyone except Aurora, that is. She screamed with terror every time I took her out there (in my tennis shoes). I'm not sure if it was the loudness or the lights or what, but she did NOT like "The Hokey Pokey." In the last few weeks, Riana and Sariah really got into the competitions (Red Light, Green Light; Racing; etc.) and were really close to winning a couple of them. They all had a lot of fun. I'm glad they had this opportunity to learn something new! :)
