Like Mother, Like Daughters

I guess my girls liked my haircut because they all started begging to have their hair cut in a bob as well. Karina kept saying, "I want my hair cut like a boy, (or) I want my hair cut like Bob." She didn't quite understand. Anyway, I decided to let everyone cut their hair, well everyone except Karina. She cried and cried but then I bribed her with a lolipop and she was good. I am just not ready to cut off her baby curls yet. I cut Tia's hair at home, and I really like it. It helps her bangs, which she cut herself a few months ago, not look as blunt.

Anyway, we took Riana and Sariah to Jack and Jill's, which is a haircutting place for children. When we got there, they asked each of the girls, how they wanted their hair, and they each said, "I want it cut just like my Mommy's." It was so sweet!! (Grant later told me that I'd better be careful about what I choose to do, with all these little followers.) We decided that if Sariah was going that short, why not a little shorter and donate it to Locks for Love. So that is what we did. They cut off her braid. Sariah's took a little getting use to for me. I regretted it for about 24 hours afterward. I started thinking about her upcoming baptism and wondering why I didn't wait. But now I absolutely love it! In fact, I love all of their haircuts! They look adorable! I love to watch them swing their hair around and bob up and down. They look so sassy and fun!

Also, I love that I have 30 less inches of hair (including my own) to brush every single day!! That is SOOO nice! Sariah's hair consistency is very difficult to maintain because it tangles SOOO easily and her head is SOOO sensitive. Now by the time it grows that long again, she will hopefully be old enough to brush it herself. She has gorgeous hair and I always say that she has perfect teenager hair-- she is going to love it when she is a teenager.

So we are a family of "Bobs"-- perfect for the summertime! :)
