Aurora meets Aurora

As soon as we arrived at our first day at Disneyland, we were excited to see Mickey with his band. Then we split up-- Grant, Joe, Tom, and my Dad headed off to the scary rides while my Mom, my 5 girls, and I went off to meet the Princesses. (My philosophy is that we can go on as many rides as we want near our house but we can only meet the characters and see the magical shows and parades here at Disneyland.) So, we spent some time in Princess-land. The very first princess we met was Aurora. It was neat to have Aurora meet Aurora. Also, Aurora is Tia's favorite princess so she loved meeting her!! Then we met several others including Mulan, Snow White (twice--you wait in line to see 3 at a time), and Jasmine. Also, we went to a Princess Coronation where we decorated crowns and then learned how to act, dance, and curtsy like a princess. Even Karina was copying their every move. It was cute! We also went to storytime with Belle. When Belle was walking out, Nina kept yelling and waving, "Hi Belle! Hi! Hi! Hi!" It was incredibly adorable! Next, we were off to Toontown. There we toured Mickey's House (where we were actually able to meet him), toured Minnie's house, Goofy's playhouse, Donald's boat, and we went on a few rides. We also met Minnie, Goofy (twice), and Pluto out in the streets of Toontown. We spent the rest of the day in Fantasyland on many different rides: the Carousel, Dumbo, Tea Cups, and many others including our favorite Casey Jr. Circus Train, where we had our dream come true when we got to ride in the Wild Animals cage. It was awesome!! We also watched the Parade of Dreams. I loved watching the parade but even better was watching Karina watch the parade. She kept getting so excited every time she would see a new character. When they waved, she thought they were waving at just her. It was a fun day!!
