January 2014

1) Karina and her cousin Laurel
2) Riana won a contest for the American Doll girl Isabelle Palmer and won her T-shirt for free.  This is what she wrote to win, "If I could design a Girl of the year, she would be a musician, who is very shy.  She loves school and becomes brave enough to join her schools orchestra.  Her goal is to perform as a professional musician and write her own music.  She has brown wavy hair and brown eyes.  She has very cute clothes and believe in following your dreams and being the best you can be.  A possible challenge she faces is her Dad loses his job so her family doesn't have enough money to send her to the kid prodigy orchestra tryout/camp.  She faces this problem by earning her own money through babysitting and fundraisers and is able to attend it and makes it in."  So awesome!!
3-6) Our girls love going to the American Doll Store.  This time we went, we got Tia's doll's ears pierced.

1) Grant cleaned the whole kitchen!!  It was the perfect Christmas present!!  I loved it!!!   :)
2) Callie put bandaids all over herself... Nope, no owies!  LOL!
3) The dolls' Christmas

Aurora and Calyssa in their matching rainbow pajamas.

The girls ORLA concert-- Sariah in ORLA Singers and Tierra, Karina, and Aurora in Come On and Sing.  Tierra and Karina both had solos and Aurora was chosen to be an animal holder, "Aurora has a Panda on her head..."   And then pictures of Sariah with her amazing artwork.  And the girls presenting their projects in class.

Grant and Mark went on a hike to Mildred Lakes in the end of December.  There were some pretty crazy parts of the hike.  But they have always enjoyed hiking together and just spending time together.  Then Grant and Daren went on a hike to Lake Constance in the beginning of January.  They rode their bikes the first leg of the journey, then hiked in the rest of the very rough trail.  It was icy/snowy and very beautiful at the top.

Grant and Vanessa took our girls with them on the Youth Ice Skating trip.  They had a lot of fun.  (They had some fun playing at their house beforehand too.)

Riana tried something new-- Basketball!!  She was on C-team, but was a real leader on the team.  She was the most athletic and her coach really relied a lot of her.  She took all of the throw-ins for the team.  It was a fun new experience and a good challenge for her.
