Road Trip- Day 13- NV/CA
We had a relaxing morning spending time with Brian and "Buddy." Unforunately, Shannon had to work. Bummer! We all took turns holding Buddy. And the girls took turns feeding him too! They loved feeding him. It was pretty cute! He is such a sweet little guy... he even gave me a big hug.
Sadly, we had to leave. Hopefully, we get to see them again soon! It was a wonderful stay and they took good care of us. We are incredibly thankful for them and love them very much.
On the way out of Vegas, we had one last look at the Stratosphere and were able to see the rides on the top. Crazy!!
One last picture is of a sweet little picture that Riana drew, while on the trip, of herself looking toward the temple. I love it and hope that she always keeps that goal in mind! What a treasure!
1) I absolutely loved the palm tree cell towers in Arizona and Nevada. They were awesome!
2-3) Beautiful clouds, beautiful country.
4) Mojave desert
5) Crazy looking trees! I am pretty sure they are Joshua Trees.
6) "Zzyzx Rd."-- That is the craziest name for a road that I have ever seen. How do you even pronounce that?? LOL!
1-2) More pictures of the Mojave Desert-- crazy seeing sand, like at the beach, right in the middle of nowhere, blowing onto the freeway and also blowing up the sides of the mountain. Pretty cool!
3) Jeremy's Diner- Grant's brother is named Jeremy so he told me to take a picture.
4-6) We had to go to In-N-Out Burger, while we were in California. This time, we decided to order Animal Burgers and Animal Fries for Grant and I. They were good but a bit much. I was stuffed and think I just prefer them plain. But In-N-Out is always a good idea. Yummy!
1) Driving past Riverside, California (and later past Sacramento) was WAY more difficult than I expected it would be. It was so hard to know how close I was to my brothers, on their missions, yet putting their needs before my own and realizing that it would be too hard on them to see us. I got a little teary-eyed passing by.
2) More beautiful clouds
3) And another beautiful sunset.
That night, we arrived in Anaheim, California. The hotel we had reservations for, was under construction and we just didn't feel comfortable there... so we stayed next door instead.
