Makeovers!! March/April 2012

First, you need to understand, I have always hated shopping.  And I haven't really gone clothes shopping in years.  My husband loves to buy me things and every once in a while I would get something while I was out.  But I was in dire need of a good shopping spree!!  Luckily, I have a good friend, Jen, who loves to shop and knows where to go!  I had a lot of fun shopping... yeah, crazy I know!  Here are some of my favorite things that I bought...  (I also purchased some awesome jewelry from my friend, Julina, and started wearing the beautiful jewelry that my mother-in-law made for me, as well-- something else I've never been very good at.  Having 6 girls is having a really girlie affect on me... LOL!)  PS- I also bought the girls some new clothes too, which you'll see in future posts.

And while I was at it, I was in dire need of a haircut, as I hadn't had one in months!  I had, however, purchased one at the Scout Auction months before from a guy in our ward, Ed, who works for Gene Juarez.  His wife, Bev, is also a hairdresser so we asked them if they could just cut everyones' hair.  They offered to come over to our house, since they thought the girls would be more comfortable in their own setting.  They did an incredible job and were well worth the money!  Plus the girls loved every minute of it!  Aurora especially loved being pampered!  She actually didn't even need a haircut but was so proud of the centimeter that they cut off.  They also brought their daughter, Christian, along, who the girls absolutely adore!!  She kept them entertained while they weren't getting their hair cut.

To complete the makeover, I finally got contacts again.  I had contacts after a kid or two and didn't have any problems and then after another kid or two started having lots of problems with them and was having to put drops in all day long.  It just wasn't worth it!  I talked to an eye doctor, who told me that your eyes can change with hormonal changes and that I should try again after I was done having kids.  So now that I was done with pregnancies and nursing, I decided to get them again.  I was still having some problems with the monthly ones and so I decided to try the daily ones.  They work better for me.  My Doctor told me that I could try to keep them for 2 days, which would make the cost just about equal, which is working great for me!

So here is my completed new look...
