My favorite moment of August was when I was playing in our Co-ed soccer game. Grant, who's foot was hurt, was sitting on the sideline, with the kids. I believe I was passed the ball by our friend, Jason. I shot it into the upper right hand corner and scored a goal. Grant then stood up and yelled, "That's MY wife!!" It was so cute!!
Pictures from summer soccer picnic- Even though we missed a few games, due to our big trip, the girls had a pretty good summer soccer season. We had a lot of fun celebrating with the team.
1) We attended our friend, Renee's baptism. It was tough to get up because it was the weekend of our play, but it was totally worth it. Tia and Nina with buddies Renee and Paige (my good friend, Rachel's daughters)
2) I finally had the chance to wear my new RED basketball shoes, which Grant picked out for me. I wasn't quite sure about them... They are so cool, I wouldn't want to create expectations and then let people down. Plus, I'm not much on being the center of attention. However, they are quite comfortable and when I look at them, I am reminded that I am loved by my hubby. :)
3) Sariah, Calyssa, and Riana with our first tomato of the season
Our girls love putting on shows for us. It is very cute! It is something I remember doing for my parents and my friends' parents. I also know that someday I will miss these shows, when my girls have outgrown them. The first 5 are from the show "Snow White" and the last one was about some flowers and fairies. Very cute!
Our girls, especially Riana, also enjoy setting up and taking pictures. They are going to be incredible photographers someday, with all this experience, at such a young age. Fairies flying through the clouds, fairies sitting in the grass, and Princess Leia. Pretty cute pictures girls!
Our lilies come up only once each year, but they bring so much color to our house, when they do. They are such beautiful flowers! (I was so glad they bloomed in August and not July, since we were gone most of July and would've missed them!)
1) Calyssa surrounded by snuggly bears (thanks to loving sisters!).
2) The girls brought Calyssa and I breakfast in bed, one morning. So sweet!
3) Tierra drew these pictures of the little yellow characters from "Despicable Me." Cute!
The newlyweds, Aaron and Shailee, came to visit us for a few hours. We took them to the tire store at Costco, and then to Red Lobster. It was fun visiting with them.
Also, in August, we walked to 7-11. The girls (and their friend, Aimee) loved going on a little adventure. They definitely found joy in the journey and even found a few frogs, as well. (Good thing I had some hand sanitizer in my purse.) I have very fond memories of walking to 7-11 with my cousin, Teresa, when I was younger. The girls and I had a great time!! :)
We went to Sand in the City. The girls enjoy dancing, seeing the sand sculptures, touching the water creatures, getting a free book, and climbing up the climbing wall, each year. I was glad we went.
