On the way, we decided to drive straight through... however, we didn't quite make it. At about 6 am, we decided to sleep for a couple hours in the Boise Temple parking lot. We found the perfect parking place at the back of the temple parking lot. It was nice to feel safe with people coming to and from the temple. It was also right next to an outhouse and we even had our own little squirrel bodyguard to watch over us. It seriously just sat there and watched over us for the whole time we were there. We were able to get a few bits of sleep here and there but not much since the kids had been asleep all night and started waking up. They loved our special squirrel. Then we decided to head over to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. It was so yummy and the kids were so well behaved. We even had someone come up to us and say, "You homeschool don't you?" Grant and I looked at each other, puzzled. Then they said, "All the best families do. Your kids are so well behaved and you have such a nice family." It was hilarious! In the parking lot, we saw a huge cow being pulled by a truck... only in Idaho. LOL! Karina got her bacon to go! :)

We stopped in Twin Falls, to see my sister, Liz and her family. They recently moved there. Her husband, Mark, started teaching school there so we went and saw his classroom. It was really neat! Mark's brother, Glen and Summer, and family also happened to be driving through that day so we were able to visit with them as well. We all went to the park. The kids all had fun climbing on Glen. Later that night, we went on a double date to Café Rio. (The kids stayed with pizza and their cousins.) It was our first time trying it and it tasted really good. I also loved seeing all the "Mormon" families coming in. There must've been a church event nearby that night. Twin Falls is like 40% LDS or something like that. The last picture is Collin and Callie (the two redheaded cousins) hugging. So cute!

When we got to Rexburg, we went to a luncheon at the park with our family. We loved meeting Zac, playing games, playing with G&G new dog, and just spending time with everyone. He has the best hair!!

That night, we all went to Frontier Pies? for dinner. It was a lot of fun!
1) We watched General Conference in our hotel room with Grandma and Grandpa.

1) We toured campus to see all the changes, with Aaron and Shailee. It looked so different! There was even a sky bridge. It was fun to see the changes they made to change it into BYU-Idaho, instead of Ricks College. Then Aaron had to go to work.
2) One of the only places that the kids can choose any soda and they don't have to worry about any having caffeine.
3) We had lunch on campus.
4) In twin outfits sharing their soda... Aurora does such a good job taking care of her little sister.
5) I laughed so hard when I saw this license plate number, "Ang9897," because my nickname is Ang and I attended Ricks in 97-98 as a single student (and then married 98-99.)
6) We visited our first married Bishop, who used to be one of the Deans on campus, but is now one of the Presidents of BYUI, President Kevin Miyasaki. I adore that man!! He is just as sweet now as ever!! His wife, Darla, passed away about 5 or so years ago. We loved her so much too!! When I read of her passing about a year or two ago, I bawled! It was so sad! I will forever remember their example to us. They would tell a story about when they were first married and how she was so sad because she accidently burnt his grilled cheese sandwich. He said not to worry because that was how he liked it. She continued to burn his sandwiches for 10 years on purpose, and then he finally said something.... LOL!!! Such a cute story! He has since remarried and we are happy that he found someone that makes him happy again. It was so wonderful to visit with him!
7-9) Pictures from around campus

These marble stairs remind me of my days at Ricks College. I went up and down them many times. And speaking of Ricks College, they had a whole section in the bookstore of old Ricks memorabilia. We bought a few things and let the girls pick something out.

They have some pretty high tech new drinking fountains, where you can fill up your water bottle! So cool! I've never seen one like that!!
We stayed at Liz and Mark's on the way home. Here are some pictures of the girls with their cousins.
We had a wonderful trip!!
