First Day of School

It was my big 5 year old's first day of Kindergarten!!  It was crazy because she is so tiny!!  We ordered a backpack online for her and she loved it!  She was so excited to get her package in the mail.

My little social butterfly loved all of her classes and her teachers and quickly warmed her way into their hearts!  Mrs. H told me just how much she loves Aurora (it is no wonder when Aurora gives her hugs at the end of class or grabs her hand and said, "Come on, let's go to our next class together, Mrs. H.")  She also loves each and every new friend she makes and says about each one that "She is my best friend, Mommy!"  She loves going to school on Tuesday and Wednesday and those two days are just about perfect for her.  By Thursday, she is ready to have a break.

Facebook- "My big Kindergartener chose to wear a shirt with her favorite word on it... EPIC!!"

Grandma C said, "Flowers on her shoes, clouds on her shirt and feathery blonde hairdo--the perfect outfit for a pretty little social butterfly.

Karina started 2nd grade this year.  She works from home 2 days and goes to our public school/homeschool 3 days a week.  She is not one of the tiny ones at school this year.  She is becoming a pro at getting from class to class on her own.  She is doing great in her classes and loving it!!  :)

Facebook- "This girl wore a purple backpack, purple hair thing, purple watch, purple pants, and purple shoes!! She loves purple!!"
6 likes and Grandma C said, "Some of my favorites: purple, Hello Kitty, and especially this sweet girl.

Tierra is a big 4th grader this year... which is crazy because that seems so old!  She is doing great in her classes and has some tougher classes this year, as they are requiring 3rd and up to take Math and Writing.  I think she is going to have a great year!

Facebook- "This girl decided to go with pink, her fav, and the headband she made to match the one she made for her BFF in Kansas, who also wore it on her first day of school this year! So fun!!

Grandma C says, "Wow!  She's lookin all grown up and perfectly posed!  :)  And thank you, Keri, for that sweet compliment, by the way."

Sariah is a big 6th grader this year, which means that a lot of her classes are with high schoolers this year.  She also has the priviledge now that she is 12 of being at the school by herself (without me.)  She gets to wear a badge to say that she has this priviledge.  I think she really enjoys being one of the older kids at the school!  She gets to be a part of some fun classes that are 6th grade and up too, like Swing Dancing.

Facebook- "Growing up so fast, and looking beautiful in her favorite color, blue!  :)  Added bonus- I finally found some jeans that she approved of because they are comfortable.

Callie thought she was going to school too!  She wanted to be just like the big girls!  I even bought her a cute new backpack... it was adorable... I couldn't help myself.  (It was a mini version of Rori's and Callie loves it!!)

Facebook-- "How she felt when she thought she was going to school like the big girls!"

Then I took out a little educational game (Little People- Toddler) on the computer that she has never played.  And she was fine.

For the whole month of September, it was just her and I three days a week.  And we both loved that special time together.  We ate lunch together, cleaned, played, and just snuggled.  I will always treasure that time we had together.   :)

Finally, the last Facebook post...
"Our 4 middle girls finally had their first day today at their public school/homeschool combo. It was Aurora's first day of Kindergarten!! My friend, Vanessa, took them to school today (we are trading off. I didn't even know what to do with the quiet time!! LOL!!) The first picture of my baby was when she thought she was going... and the second was after she realized she wasn't. Luckily, we met the girls for their last class of the day. So she forgave me! They all had a great day!!"

The first day of school went great for all the girls and continues to go well.  We are blessed to be in the perfect school program for us!
