An Invitation... and an Update

I can't believe it has been 2 months since I posted (before today.)  We have been quite busy, as usual-- finishing up the end of the school year (which was extra busy due to the fact that I had been so sick and we had to finish up some extra school work.)  After which, we left on an exciting trip.

Here is my Facebook post from July 17:
Today, we arrived home from an amazing family vacation- 18 days, 5000+ miles/80 hours of driving (all by my incredible husband!), 13 states (Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, back to Idaho, Oregon, and then home to Washington), saw lots of incredible things (Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore on July 4th, Nauvoo, Rocky Mts., etc.) and visited with many wonderful friends/family. Pretty neat!

And may I add that I took over 2000 pictures and Grant and the kids took almost another 1000!!  I definitely plan to post some of these, after I catch up on my May and June posts.  (I hope to be posting a lot in the next month or two.)

We also wanted to invite all of you to come see our play, which we are currently in, as a family. 

What: "A Broadway Revue-- All Over the World"

(Including songs from many plays.  In addition to our whole family being in the group numbers, Grant and I are singing a romantic duet (so fun!), "Heather on the Hill," from Brigadoon. Riana is the young Fiona in, "I Know it's Today," from Shrek the Musical, a solo/trio. Grant is singing, "Music of the Night," from Phantom. The cast is also doing a song from Aladdin, with Caleb A. as Aladdin, 2 from Music Man, 2 from Les Miserables, etc. It's going to be really fun!)

In other news, right before we left on our vacation, I had the chance to play on Grant's co-ed soccer team, for a game.  And other than getting a huge blister, it was so fun to be back out there!!  It's been way too long!!  Also, Riana and Sariah both scored in their soccer game on Wednesday night!  I was so happy for them!!
