Pregnancy

Well, here I am overdue, again! I guess my body just likes to be pregnant for 41 weeks. Luckily, I am feeling great! This pregnancy has been way easier than Karina's. What a blessing! I will be induced on Monday, if I haven't gone yet. Even though I don't want to be induced, Monday is actually a great day to have the baby because I am super busy right now-- Soccer pictures for Sariah (and Grant) and Tierra's teams on Thursday, a fun Ward Activity on Friday, Riana's Soccer Pictures on Saturday, Riana's Mother/Daughter Luncheon for Activity Days on Saturday, Tierra's 1st time singing with the Primary in Sacrament Meeting for Mother's Day on Sunday, nothing on Monday, Dance Pictures for Riana, Sariah, and Tierra on Tuesday, my Mom going out of town for a few days on Wednesday, and then our 10th anniversary on Thursday. So if I wait and have her Monday, Grant can just take the girls to Dance on Tuesday and then I won't miss anything. My goal is to go into labor after church on Sunday. :)

Okay, I'm posting a few pictures because I really wanted to see pictures of my pregnant friends on their blogs and wondered why they weren't posting any. Then realized I wasn't either. So here are a few. Some of them are from my Baby Shower. My wonderful friends threw a shower for my friend Stephanie and I, who is due with a girl, a week following me. Also, I put pictures of my favorite outfits I received for the baby. One is from my friend Teresa and it is just totally my style. The other is from my sis-in-law Mandy. She is so sweet and thoughtful. She bought a dress from the store and then went to the fabric store and found matching material and made a quilt. So cute!

Our homeschool program!!

My style of homeschooling is "public school at home." We began homeschooling on our own, the 1st year. Then we were enrolled in the Washington Virtual Academy (WAVA) for 3 years. Now we are enrolled in ORLA. Our girls are taking several classes at an Elementary School that is no longer used for a typical Elementary School. Instead 450 homeschooling students (K-12) take classes there with certified teachers (you choose which ones and how many) but you do have to be at the school with them until they are 12 (in another room with toys for the younger kids) or sign them out to a friend. Then you fill in the rest at home. For example, my girls take Music, Art, P.E., and Science at the school 2 days a week and then I teach them Math, Language, and History at home, on the other 3 days. The school also pays for an additional $300 a year of curriculum (like the Math, Lang, Hist.) We do have to keep up with a certain number of hours per week. We also have a "home room teacher" that helps us with everything, like deciding what extra things to do at home and making sure we don't miss anything. We are really enjoying this program-- it truly is the best of both worlds! If you have any questions, email me. :)
